How a Gallery Increased Revenue by 73%
Redefining Fine Art for the digital market. A revolution in the mid-size gallery model, our challenge was to integrate inventory and marketing mechanisms as well as imbue excellence in client service into a new online space. The best in contemporary Western art expanded from gallery walls in the Heart of the Rockies to the big (digital) sky! Extensive SEO and marketing campaigns accompanied the gallery’s website redesign to increase online visibility. As Creative Director I took this project from start to finish, with incredible results for our client.

Branding Connection: The Feel of the Rockies
From the homepage we wanted to give online users the same impression as walking into Ann Korologos Gallery, nestled in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado in historic downtown Basalt. Light, airy, inviting–and you are immediately struck by the exemplary artwork. There is nuance to contemporary Western Art beyond cowboys and wide open spaces. We want you to feel welcome to explore The West as the artists do, in their diversity of stories, styles and mediums.

UX/HX Overhaul
Exploring Art You Love to Live With
A major shift from the previous site, we allow users to explore the multitude of styles, genres, and moods of the work. Several filtering parameters were put in place for easy browsing.
Potential fine art buyers can delve into the details of a single artwork, viewing multiple images and stories from the artist, connecting viewers to the art emotionally.

Third-Party Integration
ArtCloud Gallery System
A huge portion of this new site was dedicated to integrating the Gallery’s internal inventory system, ArtCloud, to feed content and eliminate maintenance redundancies. Built on WordPress, we integrated the ArtCloud API to give visitors access to inventory to search at their leisure and to allow Gallery staff to have control over content directly from a management system they are comfortable with.

Educating Art Buyers & SEO Strategy
Search Engine Marketing
Through the Gallery’s news blog, strong efforts are put into education on the artists they represent and their work. Interviews, events, and exhibitions are regularly featured. Content is then distributed across social media, PR platforms, and e-newsletters.
